The
Annual Lexington Community Charity Event for Barbara’s Friends (Children's
Hospital of SW Florida Cancer Fund) is scheduled each year.
Most of the activities at Lexington participate in some manner to support
this charity.
As one of
the major activities at Lexington, Bocce is participates in the charity
fundraiser for Barbara's Friends. A Barbara's Friends Charity Bocce
Event is held at Lexington at
our Bocce courts. It would be great if all the Lexington Bocce players
would participate in this event in support of the kids suffering with
cancer.
The Bocce
Charity Event will be held with bocce shootout played for a couple of hours
followed by lunch at the courts consisting of the great Lexington hotdogs,
potato salad, fruit, cheeses, cookies, soft drinks, beer, and wine.
For this,
a minimum donation of $15 (more if you can) per person going directly to
the charity is requested. A box will be available to drop your donation in
and delivered to the Lexington office as support from the Lexington Bocce
players. Donations can be in the following form:
-Checks
made out to Barbara’s Friends Charity. (best method for tax deductions)
-Cash in
an envelope.
-Slip of
paper in an envelope that specifies a donation to be charged to your
member number or the amount you have already donated.
